  • Reality check, this is nothing new. Boxing continues to undersell and f*** over its true fanbase in favour of trying to 'marinate' a fight by having the two guys they see as the top-dogs fight cannon-fodder. This isn't the way to take the sport forward into the future.

It’s not hard to believe. My point stilll remains valid weather haymon said that or they said it of their own accord. There’s nothing racist about What arum said.

Lmao. Ok call it whatever you want. Everyone knows al essentially is a promoter but you can be as pedantic as you want.

        • This has been covered already when Spence told Crawford to his face he wasn't going to fight him. PBC has 2 years worth of opponents at 147 for Spence.

suck it bob...enjoy overpaying Crawford for fights nobody cares about

the same people complaining about this are the same ones that were ok with bob taking fury out of a wilder rematch....and whine that charlo should jump to DAZN to get good MW fights....knowing full well that Crawford resigned with TR fully knowing the situation at hand

LOL...shame on u fgts whining about this
Thank you for being smart bro. In addition, PBC is barely new in the business of boxing. let them have their benjamins first. Karma to arum!

Those are the real haters! people have been brushing off Arum way back before "Manny is scared of needles," "We need an outdoor stadium," etc., but this:

Arum told a group of reporters, referring to Haymon. “He’s gonna say, ‘Spence, listen to me. Don’t listen to the white guys, because if you listen to the white guys they’re gonna steer you down the road. Listen to me, brother. We’re part of a brotherhood. And if I tell you not to fight Crawford, I’m telling you not to fight Crawford.’ That’s exactly what he will say.”

That is "beyond the pale!" That should've been addressed by not only by posters here, but ESPN as well!!! Max, Stephen A., Teddy Atlas, Joe Tessitore, Timothy Bradley, etc.!!! They should've all made a comment, demanded an apology, SOMETHING!!! Totally unacceptable, and as much I love Terence Crawford, at this point, I could care less if he ever gets a shot at unifying at WW!
Why aren't so-called journalists writing articles criticizing Arum? Imagine if some powerful black guy said that about Arum or another white guy like him? There would be a media frenzy. The hypocrisy and favoritism are embedded deeply in the system.

I wouldn't work with someone who insulted me and smeared my reputation like that in public, either, period. Insult first, then expect to do business with that same racist person. I don't get Arum's ways.

PBC should ignore anything Top Rank from this point on.

"the problem in the scenario though is wilder doesn't even care about fury now....wilder is trending upwards even without him.....Crawford is going to level out and or maybe even take a dip without the pbc guys"

I think even with a Joshua fight it isn't as bright. I think he get KO'd in that one and there aren't many options for him outside of that fight since everyone will gravitate to DAZN because the bigger money, better fighters and most respected champion is there.

You (and many others) seem to be fine with Crawford-Spence not happening but I also am of the belief that there are upcoming fighters and fights that will be available if (when) Spence moves up. I think the status and standing of the fighters I mentioned will be stronger than Thurman and Porter when they have fought Spence. So I don't think all is lost for Bud without PBC. Top Rank have always been great at developing talent and stars just look at Teofimio who's beaten nobody, not done anything and people are salivating over him before he's even been tested.
just because you think something might happen doesn't mean it has or will....wilder could very well deliver a highlight reel ko of AJ

same logic you use could apply to Crawford...what if AJ gets ko'd by wilder and spence and Thurman fight next and spence stops Crawford...its all what ifs as far as whos future is brighter

but make no mistake...I never compared them skill-wise which you seem to have suggested....

my point was...wilders team isn't concerned with life without fury...they moved right on and the only guy that made a couple of comments was wilder himself.....and they are over it

but haymon has been in bobs head for awhile...his recent actions and statements on race suggest he doesn't feel too strongly about his prospects for Crawford without spence...and bobs constantly been whining about haymon....to the point that crawfords own people have suggested bob isn't "helping"

if bob thought there was a good future without the pbc guys he wouldn't be talking about them so much and crying about them still even after he pulled what he did with fury

I thought I made my point pretty obvious there

im not ok with the fight not happening..id love to see it ASAP...I just understand why its highly unlikely...spence has good inhouse options....a few of them......Crawford does not...

never underestimate the way arum treated the Floyd situation for years.....he jerked them around time and time again with nonsense.....now hes crying about wanting the haymon boy to "play ball" with him...but he was fine with pac fighting clottey, margs and whoever else he could find

It's not really serious, because he never talks to Al Haymon, only talks about Al Haymon! He (Arum) hates the fact that he's the one who has to make the call!

Spence vs.Hurd could be for Hurds belt right now. Both IBF champs.
agree....he definetly has the frame for 154

                    • Certainly not happy about it BUT I understand it!

Can't deny that the 147 division over on PBC side is STACKED, while yes I would love to see Spence Jr vs Crawford now...it can be even BIGGER if it was all for the Belts compare to rushing it and doing it now and the number don't come back as big as it could if it was this Massive Unification Bout for ALL THE BELTS

Fan of both so I'm not going to bash either of them not only that but I'm not overlook Pacquiao and Thurman either as fighters that Spence Jr would just walk through to get the WBA Belt. Hell I don't think Shawn Porter will be easy at all, Porter hasn't been easy for ANYBODY not for Thurman or Kell Brook
