I have actually sparred the guy Hot Rod before and he is very very tall and rangy. I didn't think he was a killer puncher but strong enough like most guys at 175, but he's got the potential to make any fight difficult style wise in large part because of his height.

I know Artur prepares for everything. I've never sparred with Artur but I've held the pads for him many many many times. I go by two things. The results of his power in his real fights, which has been devastating.

But even more telling is the fact that almost every guy I know who has sparred with him tells me he is the hardest puncher they've ever been in the ring with.

Thanks for your response man really appreciate it especially knowing how busy you are ..God bless you and please don't spar Beterbiev especially if he hits that hard . He's a gentle giant always smiles, just hope he can get his unification fight soon...take care and may your good work continue.

Even the second-string shortstop on any team in the major leagues is making a solid amount of money and is able to own a home and a car and handle his business.

Amazing that so many fighters end up not even close to being able to maintain a similar lifestyle
Great article, and thanks for stopping by and sharing some thoughtful words.

I'll leave it up to my other mod brothers if they feel this should be stickied.

Regrettably I cannot attend in person, being in California, but thank you for all of your efforts, and passion.

Boxing has a special place in our hearts, and no one who devotes their life to the ring as a professional should ever have to fall on hard times in my opinion.

Hey John...if you make a separate thread about the event I'll sticky it for you (tag or PM me so that I don't miss it if you do).

          **EDIT**

I see that you already did...no need to message me.

I literally am in the airport in Sacramento right this moment waiting for our bags. Will you be going to the fights in Stockton this weekend by any chance?

Maybe we can do something in regards to the big Ring 10 fundraising dinner in New York City on September 29th? That is going to be a huge huge event. As it stands now Gerald McClellan will be attending and will be reuniting with one of his best friends Michael Moorer for the first time in over 25 years

I know it's kind of short notice but I just ran across this link so I figured I'd let you know that the next RING 10 luncheon is this Sunday in the Bronx New York. It's $135 but you get an unbelievable meal accompanied by special guests this year including:

Buster Douglas, Michael Nunn, Iran Barkley, Mark Breland, Dennis Milton, Junior Jones, Marlon Starling, etc etc etc

...and be advised that all funds go to helping Fighters like Wilfred Benitez and Gerald McClellan. I assure you. I've seen it with my own eyes. They do unbelievable work

Just had Micky Ward sign TWO Blue-Ray DVD copies of the movie "The Fighter" that I will put up for auction to the highest bidder soon on Facebook and Twitter. Things have been picking up with donations and interest and there a couple events coming up in NYC soon to also help raise money for some guys in need!!
