Thurman was doing 3 mil before his semi retirement. Wilder also did closev to that. Spence/Porter would come close to 5 mil but they'll put it on PPV instead smh.

If you want to talk boxing ratings, just look back to the early 2000's when HBO considered anything under 2 million views as a disappointment. That was on HBO. Before they gave up on the sport they were considering 1 million views as good.

Boxing ratings are dropping and continue to drop. I am actually surprised by the influx of money from ESPN and Fox. They could have ran infomercials for higher ratings LOL

No. Many people don’t have cable. Many have cut the cord or just don’t have a cable subscription. That’s why they have fox. That’s why he fox is in over 30 million more homes than ESPN. Nice try.

If you want to do a real comparison compare ESPN to FS1. They are in almost the same amount of homes yet ESPN gets 2-3x the amount of views on the top rank cards than the pbc ratings on FS1 with the exception of the Uzcategui Plant fight. That’s a real comparison.

I compared ESPN NFL ratings to broadcast network ratings. What major sports ratings should I compare FS1 to? Meaning which major sports license fee do they have?

FS1 has boxing licensing fees. Just like espn. Compare their ratings.

As a fan of PBC i have to agree.. Spence is the obvious choice but I'm curious if they'll ever find a young star who will REALLY break the mold(its not Tank as much as we'd like).

GB even has Ryan Garcia. Who, although I think is overhyped, has broken the mainstream mold a bit.

There is always competition. No excuses. People just weren’t that interested.
I didnt mean finals I meant playoffs. My mistake on that. I'm sure you probably could have guessed and corrected that but decided to be a little ***** with your nice try comment foh. I never said the event would have done spectacular numbers just that for the casuals and for even the hard cores that were watching either the playoffs or the Crawford vs Khan card it ended up taking some viewers from that card that would have made it more respectable. Btw you're right that theres competition alot of times but after June the competition does down a lot. Theres usually not 2 cards on at the same time with big names either on the main event going h2h or just on the card in general. Then you got the fact that theres no more NBA and just maybe your occasional UFC card and the competition isn't as stiff as when u got playoffs, another boxing card, mma etc.
