The fight had zero promotion and was more or less a throwaway card that still a decent enough number considering there's been ESPN cards thatve done less than half with better main events and more promotion or hype

That's almost less than half of what Keef did against Lopez.

Numbers need to pick up, or at least get to what they were on the first couple of shows. DSG didn't do good ratings against Rios either. Or I don't think he did and he's talking about PPV. Only way he gets on PPV is if he fights Crawford or Spence.

Yeah no surprise! A lot of empty seats, I think they start too early when they do fights in Los Angeles. It is a reason why Lakers and Dodgers Games start at 7pm.

This is a BOXING ISSUE In General not just a PBC Issue. The Sport is not gaining new fans at all in America compared to UFC/MMA. Even on Social Media, the topic of conversation among fans is rarely about boxing.

I'm nervous for Crawford vs Khan PPV Buys as well. I'm a hardcore boxing fan and I find myself getting very bored of this sport some times and watching more UFC instead

The ESPN PPV numbers are going to be TERRIBLE. The undercard fights that aired on ESPN2 did only 291K viewers. Meanwhile on the main ESPN during the PPV they drew 3.193M viewers watching the NBA playoffs. And the PBC FS1 card that aired after FOX did so bad it didn't even qualify for the top 150 ratings. So them numbers likely in the 100K viewers or lower.

When you say TERRIBLE, what are you expecting? I think it can do in the 225-250k-ish range. Had decent buzz on social media and Khan/Crawford were trending high in the US.

Anything less than 250k, then Arum needs to STFU about ESPN being a megaphone leading to big PPV buys.

I mean the man said he expected the PPV to do 700k buys, and I actually think he was serious lol.

The 1.08M rating is now the WORST ratings for PBC on FOX since they signed their deal.

Here is some comparables for the demographics and what they used to draw during this same time slot. These numbers are extremely bad

PBC on Fox drew 0.2 in the 18-49 demo and a 1 share. In comparison The Ten Commandments drew 0.6 in the A18-49 demo.

Notably, last year, UFC on Fox 29 drew 1.78M viewers. Two years ago, UFC on Fox 29 drew nearly 2 million viewers. At the time, it drew 1.74 million viewers in the fast-overnights and was the lowest overnight rating in the UFC on Fox history.

I think 200K give or take. But you had ESPN running ads and programing constantly even had the fight talked about on sportscenter all week every sportscenter. If this fight doesn't do a minimum 300K that's a big failure. We have seen fights hit 300K with Showtime or FOX backing nowhere the amount of time and energy ESPN spent and like you said with all the shyt talking Arum talking about the megaphone if he does way worse then these PBC PPVs he looks foolish.

That's actually a better number than I figured. No big names, just mainly prospects.

ESPN put effort the week of the fight, but FOX put in more effort throughout the promotion. They had a four part All Access type of series, face off show, live press conference and the pressers the week of the fight aired. ESPN did different type of promotion. Waited a lot longer to get going but their mindset is most buys happen the day of the PPV anyways so no need to go all out beforehand.
