Why would any fight result “burst my bubble”? I enjoyed it and was glad Ruiz did well because he acted like a real fighter. He went out and made this fight happen on his own after Ortiz turned it down, went in there on short notice, came off the floor to win the fight. That’s what a fighter who wants to be a champion does. What’s not to like? Appearance aside, he’s a good fighter who should be an undefeated holder of 3 major world title belts...not bad for a fat guy.

Wilder must be pissed that he blew a big payday. Both guys actually should be kicking themselves. The way they have been screwing around playing Russian roulette with the negotiations this was bound to happen. Wilder is wrong IMO Joshua didn't quit. He was plainly disoriented and badly hurt. The referee stopping the fight did the right thing.

First, the 50mil was questionable if not completely fake...second, aj made that much in his last 2 fights. How many fights will it take wilder to earn 100mil? If Ruiz beats aj again, wilder lost 2 x 40mil paydays cuz he got cold feet and/or was manipulated by his team into turning down guaranteed $$$. I know you’re relieved that Ruiz did what wilder/his team didn’t have the confidence to do, but this situation is not very good for wilder.
