  • Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz Confirms He is in The Mix To Face Anthony Joshua

Another name has entered the mix to face WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on June 1st in New York. Top contender Andy Ruiz Jr. (32-1) has advised BoxingScene.com that he and his team are meeting with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn tomorrow to discuss filling in for Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller who was denied a license by the New York Athletic Commission due to failing three different tests for PEDs.

At least with Andy you can be certain he's had no drugs to enhance his body.
Even if VADA finds drugs in his bloods, no one will believe VADA.... ;-)

Good fight would like to see this. But i suspect AJ will take the easiest fight possible as normal.

No way lol That would be a anti climatic ending lol I was going for Lopez to beat Thurman until it was actually about to happen and then I realized how it could affect the worlds population in the years to come so I started going for Thurman lol

If AJ lost I don't want it to be a fluke like when Lennox Lewis lost to Rahman, it should be against a guy who is a complete bad @$$ that will take on all challengers lol

Ruiz Jr. saves the show by bringing in the Mexican American viewership.

He's already in good condition, just needs to keep going hard a few more weeks.
