Danny Little Red Lopez vs Sanchez. Great fight. Lopez was no sloch and Sanchez wrecked him.

I think realizing pro wrestling was fake as a kid at some point steered me towards boxing. I've always loved the art of fighting from karate movies to wrestling to boxing to MMA. I think the fight that made me a hardcore boxing fan & never miss a fight on TV for years after it was Calvin Grove vs Jorge Paez I doe. I was gung ho on boxing from that day forth. Ordered a heavy bag the same week too iirc.

Mayweather vs Cotto turned me from a casual to a hardcore fan. Remember watching the fight in a bar with a very smart friend of mine who I respect. He was telling me how Mayweather was the best in the sport. The bar was full of Salvadorans (that's the main latino group in my city), and they were are all cheering for Cotto and jeering Mayweather. I personally thought the fight ****** and couldn't understand why Mayweather won. Then I went home and started rewatching the fight again, and again, and again. And suddenly, I started understanding what boxing was really about. Haven't turned back since.

Mine was Floyd vs Big Show.

Before then, I had no clue who FMJ was but I was more than entertained. That made me go on YouTube to see defensive highlights.

On top of everything, I could easily see the power of FMJ punches on Big Show.

Moreover, I was getting tired of fake wrestling anyways.

Then there was the Ali month ESPN Classic did, now that cleared out any doubt I had left.

              I became a fan.

Remember watching Barkley - Duran with my dad and his brothers - those dudes were INTO it. Always watched the fights, and still am.

I grew up in a family that watched a lot of sports including boxing. Boxing captured me, at the first the major fights and in time all of them.
