Should British boxers be banned from the prize ring?

UK produces valiant boxers overall, but except for the Heavyweight division, where the talent pool is very limited, they struggle to produce elite boxers. I can't recall the last time a Brit was the best fighter of his division. Most british fans on this forum are insufferable though lol.

We owned super middle for periods of time and do at the moment with Callum Smith

I generally agree and usually hate seeing threads like this but...
There has been an incredibly obnoxious spamming of threads from some British posters who bash anything and everything US related, simply because it's American. It's really bizarre and these trolls have almost ruined NSB. I don't even come to this section a lot any more.
I honestly think the only reason this thread has been allowed to go on this long is that the mods are sick of it and a few of them are probably glad to see the trolls have to endure some of their own medicine.

Well I can't say you're wrong about that - dudes like Hickey and Barrett would be kinda embarrassing if I had a shred of nationalistic feeling, but you got plenty of the same ilk on your side of the pond - there's been plenty coming the other way too - and I ain't got the time or the inclination to track down who started all that nonsense... dudes are as bad as each other far as I'm concerned.

Neither Smith or Edwards have proven that they are the best in their respective weight-classes. It's a matter of opinion right now. We'll see how Smith, Taylor and Warrington do when they face the best fighters in their division.

The UK produces a lot of average to good fighters, very rarely elite ones. There is really nothing to be ashamed of.

Smith and Edwards have proven more than anybody else in the division. So I think them being number 1 is legit. I mean, which Americans have proven to be the number 1 in the division?

Warrington has not only the best resume at Featherweight, but has a better resume than nearly every American out there.

Taylor has beaten Crawfords best win. So if Crawford is "Elite", then so is Taylor. The only other win is over a midget. Taylor would have no problem under those conditions in getting the win.

Do you think Spence is elite even though he's only beaten a guy who started at Featherweight in Garcia, and a broken fighter in Brook who was badly weight drained? If this is all you had to do to be elite as well, then everyone of our world class fighters would be elite very easily.

On a per capita basis, we are with the Americans. I've never said it was better though. We're definitely better than the Mexicans though. Most of your guys haven't proven shlt. The others have all lost to good fighters. So if you think we lose when we step up, you lose when you step up even more. Hell, you even lose when you fight bums for crying out loud.
