The divisions below HW are comparable to the special Olympics. Yes they're technically champions, but not really. They just can't compete with the best so have restrictions (weight) to help them.

You will always get overmatched British opponents because - they’ll take the fights and we actually like boxing and will support them even if they’re outside their level. Domestic guys will garner big local followings.

Arum dragging the corpse of Amir Khan is symptomatic of the game. It was pathetic match making. Everyone knew Khan was well past it.

We know Dave Allen will probably end up fighting Wilder, lol. That’s what they’re about in the states at the moment. Showcase fights for highlight reel knockouts so they can ‘marinate’ the real fights.

Conversely, other boxers are extremely dubious about taking on top level British fighters unless they get their pound flesh and someone else’s pound of flesh.

So yeah British Amatuer boxing is extremely strong and well funded so I’d be surprised if we didn’t keep churning out quality boxers but we’ll always churn out popular cannon fodder to carefully matched elite fighters too.

We’ll never be that strong in the small divisions because we’re not that small.

I saw it mentioned a few weeks ago that there is no other nationality that gets knocked out at world level as much as the British do. Congradulations I don't think theres another nationality that openly quits as much as the British do as well.

I can't believe I'm going to wade into this cesspool.

I like British fighters, just like I like American, Mexican and Russian fighters. It takes guts to get in a ring. I think AJ is the best HW out there. I believe Kell Brook is a warrior even if he has weak occipital bones.

I also think some British fans are subject to being some of the biggest crybabies out there. Every time there is a moderately close decision that doesn't go their way, there seems to be this giant WHINE about how the judges are unfair. How CompuBox supposedly missed so many more punches that landed. Blah blah blah. Whine whine whine. I don't know if it's decades of UK boxers not being at the top of the heap especially in the glamour weights, some inferiority complex, or whatever...but cut out the whine. Stop trying to make Calzaghe's resume look good. Stop trying to whine about Fury drawing with Wilder while getting put on his ass twice. Stop trying to say every 5 minutes that people are ducking someone else. Just enjoy the damn sport.

It's time we seriously look into banning British boxers from the prize ring. They are a danger to themselves and are a black eye to the sport of boxing. I think we can all agree with that at this point. There is no other nation that gets stopped/quits in title fights as much the British. It's time we stop this embarrassment.

So what happened to you useless leader eh? The UK is a mess politically and socially with noone prepared to get in there and fix it, Khan and Joshua are just two examples from one sport that bear that out.

How was Pavlik shot? He was undefeated and a heavy favorite. Hopkins after Calzaghe defeated multiple champions like Pascal for example. He was coming off dominant wins over Tarver and Wright.

You have a clear bias. Estrada is a great fighter but far too soon to put him over Calzaghe and Lewis and disrespectful to those fighters to completely dismiss their careers.
