If Bud-Khan ppv flops then surely it will be 60-40 Spence ?

That's not the right question to ask. The question to ask is, if the PPV does flop, will Arum finally end the talks of doing a join PPV? Say it does less than 300k buys, how can you possibly talk about a join PPV? Now THAT should be the question, who cares about the split. They can work that out and I'm guessing it will be close to 50/50 if the fight ever happens. What will be interesting is if the PPV tanks, will Arum accept that the fight isn't big enough for a joint PPV and he may just have to send Crawford over to make the fight?

Now, let it do around 350-400k buys, and then I fully buy a joint PPV in the near future would be realistic as that would mean this fight could do big numbers.

they did well to advertise it/tie it in with Leonard/Duran. I'm surprised it sold that well though.

Yea that wasn't a bad number. Think Floyd did like 300k for his first PPV. And sh^t no non-MW or bigger is debuting on PPV over 500k I think. Or its rare if someone has.

Think this is Bud's 2nd PPV after that first one flopped at 100k or w/e so ideally he'll do better this time around, but if he's not getting more buys then Spence got that's gonna insure Spence is getting the better cut IF the fight gets made. And honestly I got lil faith it'll be made next or even this year. I think Spence vs Porter is a 70% or better lock to happen in September. And that'll probably be Spence's last fight of the year.

Then you still gotta get the King of In House Fights, Mr. Arum to either make a good, fair deal without options to Spence on TR or even less likely to send Bud over to the PBC side of the street. I got no faith that's happening without a lot of bs in between it going down.

Bud is gonna have to pull another one of those car mechanic escalation episodes on Arum to get Arum to line up that fight for him.

Mexican fight fan loyalty. When you got the brother coming out with Mexican colors paying tribute with not a Mexican holiday in sight you know what's up. There are plenty of black people in Texas so why the **** was Spence repping Mexico?

I read on here that Crawford is locked up for like four more years, so there isn't much he could do to be honest. No power moves he can make at this point.

And Spence/Garcia number was surprising, but they also had great shoulder programming. They actually ran a three or four part All Access type of series and had a face off show. Also, it helped putting Spence/Garcia on big spots of NFL games. They were shown and promoted during the Thanksgiving game and the playoff games. Jerry Jones is a commercial machine and definitely knows how to promote as well as FOX itself.

But that's why I'm going to wait until the numbers for this fight come out. Who is to say this fight doesn't do above 300k buys as well? Maybe even more?

Never know what could happen. I suspect Bud is such a no bs guy he could get released or force Bob's hand or Todd's hand in letting him go across the street.

I'll be surprised if this does more. I think people we're more hyped for Spence vs Mikey. Everyone knows whats up with Khan even the casuals. Spence vs Mikey was two undefeated guys. Hell man I won $50 off a cat who just knew Mikey was gonna win. Bud vs Khan didn't even have the allure of "whats gonna happen" cuz Khan has been "exposed" lol as the dummies here always say when someone comes in 2nd.

If it does do better respect to Bud doe.

I still say the biggest problem is Bob with all this anyway. This fight won't get made unless Bud or Todd take this outta Bob's hands or lessen his influence with making across the street deals that may or may not be on ESPN PPV.

Hell man it all seems pretty basic to me. Let ESPN and Fox do it on PPV. Do some shoulder programming on ESPN & Fox. And whoever does the best job selling the fight gets a 60/40 split their way on their platform. Or something like that that allows the fight to be on both sides of the street & no options or random bs in a contract will be needed. But then their is Bob involved & that's just not how he does it.

Bud isn't going to sit out at this point of his career and TR has treated him well over the years. I just think if he has four more years left in his deal, he's kind of powerless at this point.

I mean the reason I said let's see how much it does and it could potentially do more than 300k, is because how many would have predicted nearly 400k for Spence/Garcia? ESPN did kind of heavy in promoting heavy the last few days before the PPV, and that's when most PPV buys come in.

The problem with just letting both FOX and ESPN put it on together is, how can we be sure they will put it together if the buy rate won't exactly be that high? The only time we have seen two networks work together on PPVs is when at that time Lewis/Tyson was the biggest PPV of all time, and then later Mayweather/Pacquiao was the biggest PPV of all time. Espinoza has said to work together with another network, it has to be worth it for both networks. I'm guessing if Spence/Crawford will only do around ~500k, that doesn't qualify for it being worth it for both networks lol. But hey, I may be wrong there.
