He already fought AJ (lost) and Parker (won) and it does seem he is scared of Ortiz after calling him 1000 years old. He does however have a better resume than most when properly analysed and Wilder seems to want no part of Whyte so that's the fight WBC should order next or Ortiz final eliminator.

          Good fight this IMO.

Rivas is the guy I thought Fury would be fighting.

It's a solid fight. Looking at the heavyweight scene for a whyte fight in the summer it could have hardly been better. Obviously no Joshua Miller Wilder Brezeale Fury Usyk. That leaves out Luis Ortiz and Kownacki but they are both with pbc and could very well fight Wilder later this year. So there is no reason for them to fight such a touch opponent for no titles in England. Then there is Pulev but the same thing could be said for him, plus he could be a late substitute vs Joshua or fight at a bigger event vs Fury. Joseph Parker cannot afford another loss he must rebuild momentum before rematch. In my view the only better viable option would have been Povetkin but i'm more than ok with Rivas. He has a good olympic background and is coming off a good stoppage win vs Jennings. I expect a good fight. At least it's not kuzmin kabayel or a Tom schwarz.

Surprised this is in July and not Argos.

Can't believe people are still mentioning Ortiz's when he's been hiding. #BringBackOurOrtiz. Thought he was the bogeyman to put Joshua to sleep. Now boxing needs him and he's gone to bed

                  Great fight!!

Rivas is game, the winner earns a shot.

This is what boxing is about.

PArker vs Chisora would make it worth watching.

Wilder should be fighting AJ next.

No one wants to see Whyte getting in the way of that fight. Everyone knows Whyte gets flattened by Wilder, just like AJ did to him.

Not sure what part of Whytes resume is good? the only thing that looks good on there, is Parker, but he had to win the lottery with a head butt knock down, and dodgy reffing to sc**** that win.

The other names on his resume are mud. a few of them were in action today, and proved how awful they really are.
