Spence is fighting Porter next, and the winner of Thurman-Pacquiao after that, both fights on PPV. He wins those fights and he's WBC/WBA/IBF 147lb champion, with the first unified championship defense coming against Danny Garcia (on PPV).

And then Spence has the rotating mandatory defenses; Sergey Lipinets, Jamal James, Andre Berto, 'Boots' Ennis, Omar Figueroa Jr, and others are all viable.

To also go with that, if the fights at 154lbs go the way that they possibly go, Hurd vs Spence Jr for the WBC/WBA/IBF 154lb titles is also a viable PPV.

If Crawford wants to come over, cool; if not, Spence is pretty well set without him

I don't necessarily think there needs to be a major push for it in 2019...the hype is still building. But by early 2020, they should have something penned it. Unfortunately Ellerbe sounds like the fight just isn't going for a long while.

Ellerbe is not Spence's promoter and in fact has nothing to do with Spence.

Spence does have many options yes (Manny Pac, Thurman, Porter, Ugas, Danny Garcia, etc), it makes sense that he aint in no particular hurry to get Crawford when there are 'easier' fights to make and with strong opposition too.

However I believe he will fight Porter in July and the winner of Thurman vs Pac later in the year (if Pac wins, Thurman will get "injured" again if he wins).
