agreed. fs1 doesn’t have the budget for big names doe.

Most of these main events should be co features but it’s pretty obvious these fs1 cards have low budgets.
They aren't garbage main events though. In fact, FS1 series has probably put on the most competitive main events from any other network in 2019. They just aren't are of big names and obviously the budgets for those cards aren't the same as the say regular FOX cards.

But I hope they don't change and continue doing what they are. Ratings aren't going to improve unless you start seeing big name fighters on there, but what is the point of that if they will just be in mismatches? I would just start to pace the cards better and make sure they don't run so late. Guys like Erickson Lubin until they get back in the title hunt should be fighting on FS1. This is who the series should be for, and of course if you get fights like Plant/Uzcategui that would be great as well.

Aren't well known is not the same as being a horrible fight though. That was a quality match up on paper and the fight itself wasn't THAT bad. In fact, it ended well with Culcay starting to hurt Derevyanchenko a bit.

A guy like Victor Ortiz or Andre Berto may be more known, but would you rather see them in an irrelevant fight or good quality match ups with fighters not as well known? No-brainier for me.

match ******, network sucks, lots of things working against it.

that said, that's still scary. that's low man. really low. nobody watches TV anymore. times they are a changin. boxing will need to get with it or it will not be something that young people watch in 10 years. as much as the product needs to be good, the ability to access it must be fully modern. young people just won't be gettting cable subs in 10 years.

Again like Posted in the thread for Shields vs Hammer Low Ratings, it was a very busy night of sports. A Great UFC Card was on, as well as NBA Playoffs. I can't lie I was way more focused on that UFC Card especially Israel Adesanya vs Kelvin Gastelum which was talked about and completely overshadowed anything boxing had going on that night on Social Media.

Boxing In General is struggling here in America...just image how low the views was for Munguia vs Hogan if the other two boxing events that was on that night was this low. The sport ALL TOGETHER need to be concern with the Lack of Interest from that important 16-34 Demo and why they're choosing UFC>BOXING

UFC been on FIRE since the ESPN Contract start, it has been great fights after great fights

Dirrell vs Yildiram was a good fight.

And looks like Shields/Hammer beat it in ratings by a decent margin.

FS1 overall have been putting on good/solid cards. This was par for course, but the ratings have been bad on all of them minus the first one.

                    Plant/Uzcategui
                    Dirrell/Yildrim
                    Peterson/Lipinets
                    Quillin/Traux

Like all main events were close to evenly matched. Had two championship fights on the first two cards. The quality of match ups are not the issue, just the main event fighters don't really have a big name.
I agree the other FS1 cards were good. I think you make fair points, as did pillowfists98, Frankly homie I thought every main event fight this week-Loma/Crolla, shields/hammer and QUillen/Truax wreaked.

Good, I hope that pressures them into putting better matchups.
