Comments Thread For: Jacobs: Canelo Will Have Another Loss Before 3rd Golovkin Fight

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. Daniel Jacobs has made mental notes regarding all the talk of Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin fighting a third time in September. Jacobs wouldn't be surprised if Alvarez and Golovkin go at it again. The IBF middleweight champion simply doesn't think that fight will take place in September because Jacobs is convinced that he'll upset Alvarez on May 4.

May the best man win, Jacobs, but don't run around and then claim you won.
You try to fault Canelo's initial defensive approach against GGG, claiming he
should've lost, so don't repeat the tactic and then complain when you lose.

C’mon Jeff, we all know Jacobs isn’t winning a decision against Canelo in Vegas. He’d have to knock him down like 4 times and even that would be dubious. He’s down 3 rounds already.

        Canelo will k.o brutally Jacobs

Canelo is a better fighter right now

His body work is just incredible

He will k.o Danny with a body shot

But respect to Danny he is a very good fighter and a good person

          Stop crying

Canelo only lost against Floyd, the other fighters were not better than him in the ring

If Jacobs wins (I think he will lose by controversial decision) Then Jacobs would be the Money Man in Boxing, he would take Canelo's place, and everyone from 2 weights above him to 2 weights below him will be challenging him. A Jacobs victory would make him like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather JR. etc. The most marketable man in Boxing, the man that generates the Money, The Man who calls the shots as to who he fights and when. All This said He needs a Knockout or he won't win, and I don't think he can Knockout Canelo.

Yes that must be why 3g picked the judges & still barely lost in 2nd fight & got a draw split decision in fights where he "knocked canelo down like 4 times"

To top it off he won by split decision vs Lara despite destroying lara & making him run after getting obliterated by massive discrepancy of power shots & bodyshots (like ggg but ggg actually had a worse disparity in body shots in both fights than lara did) but oh yeah lara must've knocked him down like 4 times & still lost, huh.

Almost forgot the 3rd robbery against trout whom kd canelo like 4 times huh. Oh wait he actually bambi legged trout & kd undefeated trout,& despite trout knowing he was losing horribly with open scoring he STILL ran.

You forgot the 114-114 scorecard by CJ Ross against Floyd. Kush does that to you. You tend to forget things.

Yeah, it will catapult him alright, but not in the way you predict. He is lacking charisma, fighting style and audience for that. Not that Canelo has any charisma whatsoever (my shoes are more charismatic), but he has the fighting style and, boy, does he have the audience.
