Good for loma that hes taking arum to the cleaners. That being said did you catch where hearn was saying that this fight didn't sell any tickets & that they had to givem away?(That's what all promoters do when fights don't sell but it amazes me that there was several posters referencing there supposedly being 10000+ crowd as if they assumed the tickets were not given away)

I’d say that’s entirely likely. And that’s a massive purse for what was basically a tune up.

(Actually, Pedraza was his tune up, so what do you even consider Crolla? Paid Sparring partner?)

I make a habit of not believing what Eddie Hearn says.

This is no different. He also said all the tickets for wilder/fury were given away, along with any other US fight he’s not involved in.

But when you watch matchroom US cards, the crowd is empty. Guess that means he can’t even give his tickets away

I don't believe a single thing Hearn says normally,I just believed him this time because crolla was such a mega underdog & because I thought Hearn was involved because of crolla. But I guess you could be right in him just hating.

when loma has good attendance is, of course, clear as day that they sold ALL them tickets

when wilder has good attendance, of course, its obvious they gave away at least 9k in tickets to firemen

Wilder vs Fury took place in front of a crowd of 17,698 at the Staples Center... the fight reportedly sold approximately 325,000 pay-per-view buys on Showtime in the United States, grossing around $24 million, making it the most lucrative heavyweight fight in the country since 2003.

it was so lucrative it lost money for the promoters. total numbers dont mean sh-it. if a movie has a budget of 100 million and only sells 50 million is that good because 50 million sounds like a lot! only about half that ppv revenue goes to the promoters and fury and wilders purses were 20 million. you do the math. not good. this is why they are no longer in the ppv business with wilder or as wilder would put it "im not doing ppv for the fans!"

The figures above are from the U.S. market alone... the fight sold on the U.K. ppv market as well...
