Khan has made a smart money move.

But he will always be remembered for either ducking Brook completely OR getting brutally KO'd by Brook.

All things considered,I actually think kahns a decent fighter skillwise w/ a lot of speed(his problems imho isn't entirely his chin per se but rather that he is too undisciplined & leaves it open too much, kindve like jacobs was known for pre ggg),IF he actually puts it all on the line & sticks to a very specific gameplan of trying to counter bud & then clenching as often as possible(basically like brook fought ggg),

It wouldn't be a major shock to me to see him survive or make it close. It has a lot to do with bud not looking by any means unstoppable to me vs benevidez who he shouldn't have struggled against & kahn is actually the bigger man naturally esp. at his age now. Basically its not that I think kahns good,I just think Crawford hasn't accomplished anything at ww yet but is being treated like the next coming of sweet pea whom ill admit he reminds me of & whom was imho among the most talented pure boxers ever. I guess I'm not sold on buds hype yet at ww.

A part of me sees con giving Crawford problems,& if he executes a flawless tyson fury strategy whos to say he can't at least make it close. Don't get me wrong I know arum picked him because its a mismatch & I know he'll get kod,but theres still tons of doubts as to whether Crawford is destined to be a great ww. If kahn had not ruined his career & remained active & fighting wws instead of jmws/mws I think kahn wouldn't be such an underdog, thats the only part that intrigues me is whether hes back to his best, but nahhh

        Good post. Spot on.

I also like Crawford's style - a lot - but itch to see him tested by the likes of Thurman, Spence. For sure the likes of Indongo and Postol were no pushovers, and its a delight the way he identifies weaknesses in opponents and adapts mid-fight to exploit it, but he's never had an elite opponent opposite him, so we don't know yet if he can do the same to the likes of Danny Garcia, Porter, Spence, Thurman. We THINK he can, but we need to see it.

I remember having less doubts about Sweet Pea before he confirmed himself elite, but Sweet Pea was acknowledged as unquestionably elite at around his mid 20s or a little later maybe (point where one couldn't possibly question it) . Crawford is 31, and there is still that nagging doubt that can only be answered by beating the likes of Spence and one other just to cement it.

        Beating Khan won't help.

Khan has literally no chance. I think crawford would have beat a lot of welterweights in history. He's not just a good modern boxer. He's good from a historical perspective

I’m also “khanfused”, he said “as it comes” the brook fight has been called for by boxing fans all over the uk for years, this fool knows that and is definitely avoided it.
So, “as it comes” really isn’t because that fight would have happened ages ago.
