Comments Thread For: Munguia: I Was A Bit Fatigued, Making Weight Could Be Factor

The night began with Jaime Munguia eager to get his ordered mandatory title defense out of the way while fighting in front of 17,000 adoring fans in Monterrey, Mexico. It nearly ended in disaster, as the unbeaten 22-year old from Tijuana was considered fortunate to prevail in their DAZN-streamed super welterweight title fight Saturday evening.

Would be a good opportunity for Crawford to go up to 154 and snag a vacant belt vs. Hogan. Better than any of his other options at 147 post-Khan.

I think all the 147 title holders (except Porter/even Manny) would outbox Munguia easily. Munguia is the p4p lowest hanging fruit in boxing. Al Haymon should be throwing money at GBP to get Spence vs. Munguia or even Pac vs Munguia.

He underrated Hogan and almost paid for it.

The factors would be lack of elite skills, face first, dumber than a box of rocks, who doesn't listen to his corner.....that's what contributed to his obvious loss last night. I'd rather watch Vergil Ortiz or reruns of Sal Sanchez than to watch that missing link struggle badly with cherry picks.

****ing excuses. So if its the weight then your next fight better be your middleweight debut.

Mangos eyes aren't in the right place. When is the last time they checked those things?

Wait til he gets hit by the likes of GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Andrade, Charlo.. then he'll really feel like having a nap.
