Comments Thread For: Dubois Ready To Face Chisora or Allen if No Joe Joyce Fight

DANIEL DUBOIS INSISTS he will have no issue in taking on the next available contenders should his proposed British title showdown with Joe Joyce not come to fruition. The 21-year-old heavyweight and his team are adamant he will not be withdrawn from the mandated collision for the Lonsdale belt should he be successful in overcoming the threat posed by the world-ranked Ghanaian Richard Lartey at the SSE Arena, Wembley on April 27.

I like DDD’s ambition, but he’s probably getting a bit ahead of himself with talk of Joyce and Chisora - I’d fancy both to have the beating of him at this point.

Allen is about the right level, but think he’s nailed on to fight Price if he beats Browne.

It’ll be interesting to see what Del has left, I thought he was beating Whyte until the KO - could still have plenty in the tank and is a handful if properly motivated.

At nick_viking that's true.i just would like to see this kid work more with his strength and conditioning coach more.he has to build his power and strength up if he plans on beating grown men.i recommend he waits till 25 when fully developed

Chisora might be too much for Dubois at this point but Allen? Why not.

Looks like ddd doesn’t want to take the traditional Frank Warren route. Good for him. He’s a young boy a loss at this stage of his career is far from a disaster. He definitely beats chisora at this point

Dubois ought to take his time as he is still growing and learning - It's important to keep him busy with fights that help him adjust, acclimate to regular fighting and taking on opponents who are at his level.

As another commenter said, he doesn't need to step up to challenge for a title for a few years yet. His only real problem is managing the expectations and pressure.
