Atlantic City - In the Showtime co-featured bout, Jermaine Franklin (18-0, 13 KOs), widely regarded as the top American heavyweight prospect, kept his unbeaten record intact with a 10-round unanimous decision over former No. 1-ranked U.S. amateur Rydell Booker (25-2, 12 KOs). The judges scored the fight 99-91 and 98-92 twice.

Pretty honest and accurate assessment by Booker. I agree with his comments. Franklin does have a lot to work on but he's only 25.

I swear every counter Booker threw, Franklin got hit with.
His activity saved him, not skills.

            Definitely a big WIP.

One mistake is you need a real trainer. You also need some better conditioning if you’re going to make a serious run at anything. There’s some holes in your game that someone could fix if they knew what they were doing

Definitely wasn't near the caliber of boxing I enjoy seeing. If Jermaine wants to move forward and be taken seriously, he will need a good team to help him get there. Start with an experienced trainer and a good conditioning coach. Right, not he's not ready.
