I wasn't sure how to word the thread title. But I guess I can describe what I am looking for here.
I'm interested in seeing some youtube videos about the lead up to a major title fight. Something that has a clash of personalities and such. Something along the likes of the 24/7 series maybe.
Could include highlights of pre-fight press conferences too.
I'm interested in the Adriene Broner types, or something like McGrergor vs Floyd, where you had two trash talkers squaring off. Not so much De La Hoya vs Floyd, I'm talking toxic hatred here where there is a strong back and forth with the war of words.
ALSO: I recall one time some boxer photoshopped his opponents wife photo inappropriately. But I can not recall who those fighters were. They might have been british domestic level, they certainly were not top stars... Something like that is obviously downright classless, and I'm really interested in that aspect. Where things go a bit beyond boxing promotion, where things become... unsportsmanlike.
In short, I'm really interested in how the drama before a fight can elevate the success of a pay per view. I'm also interested in the psychological aspect of it, the mental manipulation and the fall out once someone falls short of their boasts...
I think the Broner vs Madaina one was spectacular for its build and fall out. Likewise with Khabib and Mcgregor, which seems to be ongoing.
