And we are talking boxing not MMA. I've stated my issues with MMA numerous times here in the MMA subforum.
And I do the same sh^t with those tiny guy divisions that got like 100-300 boxers in them. If there aren't even a 1,000 pro boxers in a division it should be combined with other divisions in some sorta way.Comment

I'm just putting this accomplishment in perspective like I said. I said respect to Shields in the same post. But not unlike Broner & Garcia are probably the least accomplished 4 division title holders in history, Shields is the least accomplished undisputed champ. It is what it is.

It really depends on if womens Boxing moves quickly.
In UFC, Ronda Rousey looked almost unbeatable for a short time, but the womens game quickly grew and outgrew her.
If womens boxing is getting more popular, i think you would quickly see an increase in talent level and strength in depth.
I think there are bigger problems for female boxing than finding a female to admire for aspiring female boxers.
Where do you go to learn to box? Boxing gyms are fewer & further between than ever. Most cities don't even have a gym in an area most girls would wanna visit regularly. Most girls don't wanna get hit in the face & have their nose & appearance effed up or their teeth knocked out. This is an extremely harsh sport.
The reason MMA got a boost off Rousey was because her whole thing was an arm submission & her fights didn't have all that much getting hit in the face (& I'm sure Ronda herself wished their was less of that in her last couple fights). Plus & probably more importantly BJJ & other non-boxing fighting arts are springing up in more & more cities than have ever been around. In the last city I lived in there was more MMA facilities than boxing facilities. And now I live in a more historical boxing city & there is probably pretty close to a 50/50 mix of MMA vs boxing gyms.
She should fight Savannah Marshall. Marshall beat her in the amateurs and is currently an undefeated pro, she was the world amateur champ and beat Shields there. She actually has some power too and trained by Peter Fury.
Its also worth noting Shields avenged that L once or maybe twice already, as an ama, but yea it does still seem like an obvious fight to make promotional-wise even if it'll be un-competitive.
Really though the only interesting thing Shields can do now, which is effed up but true, is drop 6lbs & try to get big fights at 154 or probably better yet drop 13lbs & force a fight with Braekus-sp which is probably the only fight people will care about again involving her in the foreseable future.Comment
