Comments Thread For: Hogan Brimming With Confidence in Enemy Territory vs. Munguia

Dennis Hogan made to sure catch Jaime Munguia's most recent title defense, a thrilling 12-round win over previously unbeaten Taskeshi Inoue this past January in Houston, Texas. The bout was of interest to the Australia-based Irishman since he was next in line for Munguia's 154-pound title as they collide Saturday evening in Monterrey, Mexico. That said, he didn't watch the fight necessarily to scout his future opponent; the groundwork was long ago put in for that part, as far back as when the unbeaten Mexican turned away the challenge of former titlist Liam Smith last summer.

The funny thing Munguia look so beatable but they keep putting him in with these hopeless opponents.

Baby McGregor won't last long enough regret these statements.

What confidence could he be brimming with?

Hogan's record is reasonable although a bit light on KO's so equating him with a bum is a bit harsh. For what it's worth he has been training with Jeff Horn. But, not another 'I see holes' plan please, we all know what happens to plans once the fight starts. If Munguia is a real champion he will work out what Hogan is trying to do and counter it, which will leave Hogan where?
