Pick It: Claressa Shields vs. Christina Hammer (Saturday, Showtime, 9:10 PM EST). No, it's not the biggest women's boxing match of all time but it's the biggest of a new era in the US and that's good enough. Wish this guy would quit bringing up ibo(not worth a capitalize)I don't care what his reasons are we CANT AFFORD a 5th.If the BWAA picks THE RING's or TRANS and JUST uses those boxing would be in a MUCH better place. The media has waaay more juice then people sometime realize and SOME(dougie fisher)don't mind using that power to further their own bias.Use it in a way that could REALLY help sport. Can you imagine most of these title holders just being called as the #2 or 4 contender instead of a 4th champ, being a top 10 contender would mean more like it used to and being a CHAMP would REALLY mean something.Pipe dream boxing never has been able to get out of its own way.
