What we DO know is that Loma specifically said he didn't want to fight Mikey at that time. Despite what you said earlier.

But I wouldn't say it is because he is scared to fight Loma.

I'd say it is to do with him refusing to deal with Arum at all. Which is a shame, but I'm not gonna blame him for it either. Arum is a scumbag, and Mikey seems like a good guy.

The fight is Mikey's to make though. It is all his choice. If it doesn't happen, it will be his choice. Arum's fault maybe, but Mikey's choice.

Loma was talking only about his first fight back after his injury with that quote, nothing more and nothing less.

One specific fight, which in context, made a lot of sense.

Loma has been talking about Mikey for years. Yet, on suffering an injury that could have ended his career, he didn't want his first fight back in the ring to be with Mikey.

I don't think that can be taken as proof that he was secretly ducking him.
