I wouldve said NO. I'm sorry that someone passed away, but there are 7 days in the week...find a day and time that is available for rent (like I did to reserve a venue of your choosing).

This the first time I've responded to the Black Lives Matter in a couple years, because people who are against will not listen to what it actually means. But you said it perfectly. It's not to discredit or reject any other races. It's to let other races know that, "Hey, we matter too." Which is why me as a black male who has a Masters' Degree, work for the government, has several businesses, rental properties, etc., and will get pulled over for know reason other to ask me where I'm going and talk to me sarcastically until they realize that everything is legit. So yes, for blacks we will say "Black Lives Matter" because it often feels like they don't know. Another example is going to the furniture store and knowing exactly what I wanted, but waited 45 minutes because people were literally walking passed us to run to the white customers who did not even purchase anything (At least while we were there). So I just go to the counter and tell them what we wanted and when she asked who helped me, I told her, "I helped myself." I love people in general. I don't like people who will put harm to me and my family. And those people come in all colors.
