Yes Kovalev is getting up in years, but he isn't done yet. On the flip, Yarde hasn't even remotely been tested. So how will he do vs the better boxer version of Kovalev? I'd guess he'll have his moments, but Kov will still win a UD or late stoppage. And Sergey will do it by just frustrating Yarde round after round.
Am hearing Yarde is definitely going to Russia, definitely taking the fight. Was shocked before and didn’t believe he was taking the fight or going to Russia, all because of his manager/trainer, until I heard he is getting paid £4.2m for the Kovalev fight!!! Now I see why they changed their minds.

Makes sense if that’s the pay day.
For a guy with no amateur experience and that literally nobody apart from Tunde and himself knows if he’s actually any good at this level that purse just equates to successful prize fighting career by itself.

That is a shocking payday. Thats what HW boxers get paid! I mean even Fury and Wilder were guaranteed less than that for a PPV fight.
I don't know how much Tunde gets but am guessing its 20% as a manager/trainer. He has definitely hit the jackpot with that.
Going back to the fight, it means he would probably have to KO Kovalev to get a win.
I think Yarde can win, going with the clear underdog by knockout in 9 but not before getting dropped himself early!
Too young, too fast, and too much youth!
Maybe, but they might well regret not giving him a more graded build up to this level. He's got the talent but literally no decent fighters on hes record. He chin is a big question mark, as is hes stamina.
