He fought in what may have been the weakest era ever for the division and still got knocked out 3 times. If dazn wants to go even further in debt and add to the millions already lost than more power to them.

DAZN could surely do much more with 100 million, eg tie up with the WBSS and fund a whole bunch of new tournaments at various weights.

Problem is I don’t think that fight can be reproduced
Thinking that fight took a whole lot of Wladimir
He’ll probably be even more boring than before

Would a retuning Wlad add much depth to an extremely shallow division ? I think I’d like to see him return he has the beating of Wilder, can’t say I’d like to see him rematch the other two.

I can see how DAZN can be aggressive in there flow of money and predatory pricing and over paying fighters with there business ideas but how they wrench the sports rights from established platforms is very ambitious in order to get to a profitable stage.. someone is gonna lose big time here that's for sure ..

How many eyeballs are they drawing with their 118lb tournament though? A 105lb tournament isn't likely to draw much better.

It's a value for money conversation.

They already have WBSS and it's not possible to do more than 2 quality tournaments a year because of other American promoters, Bob Arum and Al Haymon won't cooperate if it's losing a champion for 3 fights so it's dependent on Matchroom and smaller promotional outfits like World of Boxing, Salita Promotions, DiBella Enterainment, Cyclone, Sauerland, Main Events

There are definitely price points where things no longer make sense for established platforms, but number is likely far higher than DAZN seems to realize.

They're getting their first taste, in all likelihood, with their coming attempt to get some/all of DirecTV's Sunday Ticket.

                      1. Wlad v Wilder
                      2. Wlad v AJ rematch
                      3. Wlad v Fury rematch
                      4. Wlad v Wilder rematch

That would generate enough to give Wlad $100m?
