  • Comments Thread For: CBS "Final Four" Segment, With Wilder, Averages 13.77M Viewers

It's the type of ratings that any boxing executive would kill for-and the type of exposure that helps at least partially justifies Deontay Wilder's choosing autonomy over money. The unbeaten heavyweight titlist was prominently featured in CBS' "NCAA Final Four Basketball-Bridge" segment in between Saturday's pair of tournament semifinals games. The show averaged 13.77 million viewers according to Nielsen Media Research, making it the second most-watched primetime telecast for the week of April 1-7, trailing only Texas Tech's win over Michigan State.

Wilder keeps getting knocksdowns, knockouts, winning and making exciting fights and there’s nothing stopping him from becoming the superstar that the USA desperately needs even if it’s brief!

Big time move to help him get bigger!

Yep that sounds about right.i think more and more people is going to realize as time goes on on how deontay holds the key to the hw division.like I said if Joshua wants to be known world wide he has to knock deontay out.

lol if you just read the article title it would make you think Wilder was responsible for those numbers. Good exposure for him I guess.

nope they didnt tune in for him

just like nobody on thanksgiving last year tuned in to see spence on the sidelines at the cowboys game...BUT THEY ENDED UP SEEING HIM ANYWAY.....and that gets things in motion

if even just 100k of those viewers were sitting there, ipad in hand(possibly about to make a wager ), and googled wilder because they didnt know him and looked him up? thats a win for wilder and his people

basically everyone watching that event has a phone or tablet in hand...and can google who he is if they dont already know him...within seconds

this is just reality...so you haters can stay mad and say dumb stuff like "nobody tuned in to see him"...thats just fools way of rationalizing it.....its exposure...good exposure........it was either that or have 5k people see him in the US ON DAZN during a cricket match

Lol of course he is that’s why ESPN and DAZN are throwing money at him. He’s the most exciting heavyweight at the moment

The way its worded its click bait-ish for sure, BUT its always good for boxing when boxers get some main****** sport fans eyes on them.

And specifically for Wilder here its a good look.
