Can't really decide.
How would David Tua had done in todays HW division?

Tua had some decent wins and had power but I think he lacked that little extra push a fighter needs to be a champ. His weight continued to go higher and higher later in his career. He didn’t show any urgency in the championship fight vs Lewis and played it safe.I see all of the big three beating him no problem. -
He did have a win vs Rahman & John Louise. So he did beat 2 Heavyweight champions. Wow that’s weak but it is fact.
To me i personally thought he was a middle of the road guy.
Not great not bad. He was a left hooker, but Tua was so limited.
Slow of hands , bad head placement.
He beat guys you should beat if you want to get a title shot , maskaev, Obed Sullivan, . I kinda agree with the previous poster , The top guys today beat him, just like in Tua Prime.
In the 60’s -70 Tua is like in the Company of Zora Foley , Randy Neumann/ Cleveland Williams.
80’s he’s like Quick Tillis / Greg Page
Gerrie Cotzee.
90’s -2000
Jessie Ferguson/ Lou Savarese/ Francois Botha/ Bert Cooper.
David Tua Beats those guys but he’s not much better than that company.
Let’s be honest.
Any response. Let’s debateComment

How can I forget he beat 3 Heavyweight champions, I was at the one round destruction of Michael Moorer.
Ok maybe he was better than the likes of Tillis / cooper & Savarese.
Could there be a more limited guy to have wins over 3 Heavyweight champions .
Debate that folksComment
