Comments Thread For: Whyte Waiting on WBC To Make Decision on His Title Shot

Recently, heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte sat down with World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman to discuss the boxer's beef with their recent decisions. Whyte, based on holding a number 1 ranking under the WBC, believes he was passed over by the sanctioning body - as they ordered WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder to make a mandatory defense against Dominic Breazeale.

How does whyte not understand that he was only ranked #1 AFTER brezeal had already been made wilders mandatory but then got brushed aside for wilder v fury twice. It was done as per the rules because its in the rules that legacy fights "for the good of the sport" trump mandatories; then when the mando gets brushed aside like brezeale he gets 1st crack at wilder despite not being #1,& the wbc also let brezeal go 1st because hes been patiently waiting for revenge & begged to be made mandatory ages ago.

the contention comes with how breazele was given the mandatory shot. breazele and whyte were the top 2 ranked fighters and whyte tried to fight breazele. breazele refused and instead fought molina who was ranked much lower. then the breazele molina fight was somehow deemed an eliminator with the winner becoming mandatory. how can you duck the highest ranked guy and still be given a mandatory shot? im sure no haymon hijinks went on behind the scenes...

whyte should be able to pick his eliminator opponent just like breazele did. i bet he skips over everyone good and picks a lower ranked bum just like breazele did.

the fight is not going to happen if whyte is still with hearn/dazn. its all political posturing. haymon does not want wilder to have to travel or fight on another network. this is why wilder is such an idiot for trusting him. he will play politics and prevent guys from getting title shots based on network alliances and this is the same guy wilder listens to and rejects 100 million dollar offers? its all about his network and how to make it succeed. wilder is one of the keys to making that happen but being on show/pbc is not the key to wilders best career. manipulated

I believe this too, if Whyte was with PBC then no way would the lower ranked guy jumped over the higher ranked guy.

I couldn't care less about the bogus Breazeale/Molina "Eliminator". If Whyte and brea couldn't come to an agreement for a fight why did the WBC sanctioned Brea/Molina (PBC fighters) as an eliminator.
