Is there some type of system where the fighter receives warnings and eventual purse deductions for stalling like they used to have in pride fc...or is it just arbitrarily decided by this d bag after the fight?

I saw that last night when I was watching the card. Crazy.

The guy was fighting on the back-foot trying to do strait boxing, but it wasn't really working for him and the crowd was pissed. Being a boxing fan I guess I'm used to it and didn't mind.

I think the issue is that the ring is a circle, so theres no corners and thus it's much harder to cut the ring off and force an opponent to fight. I think it makes sense to have rules about it, but taking half the purse is crazy.

Half is a bit extreme but fighters shouldn't get paid to run. When mikey garcia spends 12 rounds running from spence in order to pick up a paycheque it makes a mockery of the sport.
