Comments Thread For: Wilder To Return To Basics For Breazeale, Still Guarantees KO

Even with more than 10 years of service in the pro ranks, it's never too late for Deontay Wilder to change up his fighting style or-at the very least-learn from past mistakes. The unbeaten heavyweight titlist is well aware of his past in-ring bad habits. He knows he's failed at times to keep his heart from racing the moment he sees a knockout in his sights. There have been far too many occasions where he's made easy nights far more difficult by all but abandoning the very basic fundamentals of the sport.

Wilder.. please don't kill that boy on live t.v. If u do.. we will never see you in the ring with AJ. Lol.. nah seriously.. Virgil Hunter is training Breazeale.. we could see a sneaky power punch from breazeale.. I dont think it will be enough to stop Wilder.. but Wilder needs to take him seriously.

S#hit I got happy for a second . I thought Wilder finally saw Sense and was beating the hell out of his co manager for his ****** advise over the years and guiding him to no commercial contracts or profitable fights. He should have made a lot more money against Fury on PPV

He is ,he has gone back to basics

You know I have a love hate relationship with Deontay. I love his Mrs but I hate him only joking you know my thoughts on the fight. One silly move by AJ and it’s night night. I’ve never denied the threat that Deontay poses but until they fight I will take as many shots as I can at Wilder and wait for his thong wearing Wilderlites to respond.

The way he fought against Stiverne I was the way I thought he was going to fight his whole career. Using the jab more. He was flawless against an in shape stiverne and didn’t press the KO. He needs to go back to sticking and moving and the knockouts will come more than likely from TKOs rather than the flattening KOs he has been getting....and certainly in more dominant fashion. One big problem I see is his weight has simply gotten far too low. Even an average puncher like Fury seemed to hurt him at times and that’s going to happen when you are taking punches from a man who has 50 lbs/3.5 stone advantage on you. Wilder needs to come in no lighter than 230-235 lbs/16-17 stone like he was as a contender and early title reign
