Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz: I'm Ready To Take a Top Spot at Heavyweight

Heavyweight contender Andy Ruiz Jr. (31-1, 20 KOs) is very motivated for his planned return on April 20 as part of Premier Boxing Champions on FOX card from the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Ruiz will face the very tall Alexander Dimitrenko, who is coming off a fall TKO defeat at the hands of Bryant Jennings.

You had your title shot already, you are in the back of the queue now.

I thought he beat Parker which doesn't say much as it was a close fight and parker was never a top 5 heavyweight but he has a decent looking record which will fetch him some good fights

Ruiz can still accomplish a lot. Now that he's with PBC there are some good fights to be made for him.

His only loss was a close decision to Parker. Needs to stay active and step up the competition. Wouldn't mind Ruiz/Kownacki at Barclays!

Arreola vs Ruiz will be next win or lose.

Andy Ruiz Jr should go after Ortiz.

Luis is vulnerable because of his age.

There are good fights for him at PBC, fights that should be entertaining and get his career going again.

The thing with Dimintrenko at this point is that he doesn't really give much confidence to the viewer that he wants to fight. Dude is like closing his eyes and tensing up when he sees the punches coming - Ruiz prob wont be getting a bunch of credit for this one but at least he's back active

Ruiz should fight Arreola and use him as a measuring stick. It would be a great brawl while it lasts.

Top of the Heavyweights? What, the top for having the most wobbly ****? Because that's the only list you're getting to the top of.
