I think the first fight was dramatic and even enough (well, before Linarez went down) to be able to sell a second, and Linares losing at a higher weight glossed over.

Comes back to Loma having nowhere else to go, also Linares. Loma lost in the amateurs, and made sure to erase that stain by rematching and beating that opponent. He tried rematching Salido - couldn't get it - and Loma might see getting decked by Linares as a stain to be erased. So Linares might be the one past opponent Loma would agree to.

But bottom line is the first fight was good enough to want to see it again - even if we know Loma will win it again.

I hope Garcia goes back down and we get the fight we've been waiting for. He has no business in WW

I give Loma a lot of credit beating Russell, but that’s about it. Lately (many years) it’s been nothing but Cans.
