I get why Top rank want to protect their investment in Lopez, but three fights before Loma? Nah, if he wins next week then they should go for commey for July, then Lomachenko at the end of the year. If not the WBC belt after Garcia vacates it for 140. Get Lopez an eliminator if number 1/2 are fighting for the vacated belt.

Loma is in his 30s now he’s not a superstar and is no house hold name he is what he is yet euro boys think he’s the greatest thing since slice bread but they feel that way about every euro level bum they have so no suprise there. Loma needs a big fight he’s the one running out of time.

Lopez is a damn baby at 21 and already has ppl talking about him and he’s scary good.

Loma needs him and if he doesn’t get him he’ll retire as a very good fighter but there forgotten quickly once retired. Lopez has a very bright future ahead of him a lot brithter than loma I know that’s not what you guys like to hear because he’s no white boy but fact is Lopez is headed for stardom something Loma might never get.

I mean, Lomachenko does pretty good draws in the U.S. with how short of a time he's been around here.

But yes, the drawback really is his age and that he seems content to retire in maybe 2 years.

If Mason Menard "walked" Devin down then that would mean that Menard was landing punches which was CLEARLY not the case & he did stop him that showed the difference in levels between them. It showed that Devin can hit, not get hit with solid ring generalship & get the stoppage vs just a early K.O. & none of those other skills displayed.

He literally walked him down every round though. Like I said I like a guy that can box and move, but if you aren't hitting hard enough to dissuade a guy like that from coming forward against you, it may be a problem for you once you step up in competition. He should be pushing a guy like Menard back not fighting on the back foot against him.

If you think Haney is special, and if you think this was a great performance, then you have to think Menard himself is a great fighter. And he isn't.

Not saying Haney sucks but just there isn't really anything to go on with him other than the eye test. He is young and if you see something special in him you are entitled to your opinion and you may actually be proven right. I watched the Menard fight. Haney fought off the back foot all night bro. Spin that whatever way you want. He couldn't even back up Mason Menard lol.
