Boxers don't make fights these days. Promoters do. If the promoters of of both boxers don't want to make a fight it doesn't get made. Of course pro boxers want to make the most money possible. They would make the most money by fighting the best. Crawford and Spence would gladly fight each other but Arum and Haymon must put that fight together or it doesn't happen.

as long as promoters can make a profit by having their stars beating no hopers, they'll milk it forever. Boycott/stream these blatant mismatches and it'll force the top guys to fight each other.
