Unless he can knock out Smith the fight will be close going to the scorecards.

What do you think normally happens when a come forward guy faces a guy with faster hands and good pop? Either he stops coming forward and puts on earmuffs to weather the storm (something we've seen Beefy do) or he keeps coming forward and imposes his will OR gets stopped (something we've seen Beefy do).

You're trying to make this a referendum on Charlo when it's about Charlo vs Smith (who has more heart than talent).

Charlo's strength is his power. He's big and strong. I'll give him that.
Nothing else he does really impresses me.
He doesn't throw great combos, he isn't a great body puncher, his footwork isn't spectacular, his defense isn't the best, and his Ring I.Q is nothing special.

How does Smith avoid that power? He isn't a mover, he is a grinder. Watch the Smith Williams fight where Williams was tagging him all fight then tired but still continued to land through the guard. Then the accidental well placed head butt changed and ultimately won the fight for Smith.

Styles make fights. Charlo needs a come forward type boxer. Smart true boxers will always give him problems. Plus he tends to get to emotional in the ring. Odds right I would put some $$$ on Liam.

I'd definitely drop some money on Smith cause I've got a feeling that if they ever fight then Charlo would be favored by at least 3-1 if not more....

Reading is fundamental. I said Smith has more heart than talent. That's not questioning it. That's actually complimenting it. He has heart and some skill. Not enough to threaten Charlo.

So we have two fights Mungia and Williams where Smith was not close to winning but was competitive. Yet Smith will make it close versus Charlo and may win?
