As much I love Virgil, I gotta concur.
He gets credit based off of training Ward who is just a rare, special talent.
Eubank would benefit the most if had Robert Garcia in his corner.
Garcia made Pavlik a machine. Was hoping Kelly would stick around longer but can't blame him for retiring.

That's a good move if he actual listens. Eubank should be fighting at 160 and targeting Charlo.

I thought Eubank looked really sharp and executed his gameplan well against Degale, while training with Nate Vasquez. Virgil Hunter has had a great success story with Andre Ward but I don't believe any other fighter that has came to him during the middle of their careers has been able to vastly improve.

Working with Vasquez, and actually having real success, may have finally opened up Eubank Jr's mind to taking instruction from someone, which is a great development for his chances at being a top fighter at 160/168lbs.

No idea how Vasquez got Jr to buy in, but if he goes back to not listening again, no coach is going to help him, tbh.

Maybe Vasquez is that one coach for Jr; who knows

Lol, I like Eubank and think he's a great fighter, but his style is nothing like Ward's style, and he'll do well not to reinvent himself.
Ward was a defensive grab and clinch bore. Jr is a great attacking fighter with quick hands and throws from all angles. Please don't turn into a rule bending wrestling headbutter like that Oakland fool. If he'd have had the good grace to admit he lost to Kov I'd have the utmost respect for him. But they stole that guy's belts and it was another stain on US boxing decisions.
