He fought a corpse in his 1st fight as lineal wbc champ after teddy Atlas used to sht on stevensons opponents despite Stevenson never facing near doudoos level. When did I ever mention gvozdyks skills? I'm merely stating that gvozdyk deserves more redicule than doudoo because he had no business fighting such a no hoper.

Ngumbu was very competitive in 2nd and 3rd round. Heck, you could even give one of those rounds to him if it wasn't a championship fight where he is a contender.

It does look a bit su****ious on surface.

Ngumbu is 37, throws everything in his tank at Gvozdyk for the first four rounds. Doesn't even make a dent, and then a minute into the fifth round, he pulls up with a sudden injury, after he's warmed up.

There was no collision or tangle up of legs or awkward twist of foot or ankle to be seen.

So it is plausible that one minute into Round 5 he realizes he's put on a good showing for himself , but he's spent and its only a matter of time until he gets knocked out. And its dangersous to do that vs. Gvozdyk and Ngumbu decides that that its a good time to duck out.

He still gets paid, and he avoids getting embarrassed or hurt.

That said, Ngumbu did a good job of looking hurt, but maybe overdid it a bit if anything. Looked like he was dying in there.
