It’s amazing how Canelo improved since the Cotto fight.

A lot of you weren't watching Canelo at 147. Canelo at 18 years of age fighting as a Pro most today couldn't do. Put in Davis, Shakur Stevenson, Teofimo Lopez with the guys he fought at 147, just look at the tape, the guy is gifted. He even had great defensive moves, head movement, slipping shots at 147. Canelo is a boxer whom copied the gym life from his boxing brothers so he GOT IT at a very young age.

I think it’s largely his opponent choice. Besides Lara, he’s chosen to fight stationary fighters who are willing to trade. Curious to see him against another slickster.

Have always been of the opinion that Canelo will be done by time he reaches his early 30's. Nowadays fighters are lasting longer though so I wouldnt mind being wrong and maybe we get another fighter to add to the ATG list.

He improved since the schooling he took from T.B.E. & has been on his peak.

He was 23. Of course he got schooled. Floyd is still TBE though but if both fighters were in their prime Canelo probably KS Floyd

And of course, while Carnelo went on to apply what he learned in that school, Manny proceeded to get an F against Floyd, then get re-educated by The Hornet in summer school and got another F.

The school can only help you if you let it.

Canelo never took a beating in his career, never got dropped.

Lara and Floyd just potshoted his flatfooted arse.

But appart from two rough fights with GGG, nelo never really took punishment...
