Be sure to ask Daddy Arum first before you get to play with your toys.

... That's what all fighters say when they have to sell their next fight (in this case the MSG fight vs Khan on April 20...)
Well said! Very old tactic! How did Spence become #1 WW? Did Keith Thurman retire? If Keith Thurman beats Manny Pacquiao (I hope they fight in July), and Spence beats Porter, we should be ready for Thurman vs. Spence, unification of the WBC, WBA, and IBF WW titles! That's another PPV fight for Errol and Keith, and there's no network obstacles for that! After that, then Arum and Haymon can talk about Spence vs. Crawford! Winner becomes the undisputed WW champion! That should be big enough for network co-promotion PPV!

In the meantime, Bud has this voluntary, and then his mandatory. If I was Arum, I would be trying to make an offer to Thurman, because he seems very reluctant to fight Spence Jr.! Maybe Arum can make a sweet offer to Keith Thurman (via Al Haymon) and then Crawford wouldn't have to fight his mandatory, which no one wants! Arum could also press the issue with the WBA, and force Thurman vs. Bes*****, whose the WBA #1 contender. Should Bes***** win, Arum would have an in-house unification fight for Crawford!

When did Fox or ESPN ever say they are not willing to do a joint network ppv. All I ever hear from Spence's side is excuses or people affiliated like Floyd outright saying Haymon doesnt want to make that fight and you got idiots on here celebrating that it wont be made cheerleading for promoters and managers like they are getting paid.
I would wait and see, like I said Spence needs to show an ambition of wanting to unify. If the porter fight isn’t happening then he needs to get his people to do that fight with Crawford.

This is obviously one of the best fights that can be made in boxing today. The fighters, promotors, media, and fans all know it. This is one of those fights that will help the game immensely and both promoters will "find a way" if both fighters want it. Everyone talks about Arum being an old fool, he may be old but he's no fool. A loss to Spence in a great fight will not hurt Crawford or Arum. Picture a trilogy between these dudes? Mega money! My only fear is that Spence has a big frame and may move up to 154 before this fight happens. There are some great fights at that weight class.

Not to mention that Haymon has Manny Pacquiao! If Pacquiao beats Thurman or Danny Garcia, and Spence beats Porter, Spence Jr. vs. Pacquiao becomes a PPV, live from At&T Stadium in Arlington, TX! At least 45K in attendance, and 500K in PPVs! I don't understand why Crawford and Pacquiao never happened, but Bud may come to regret that decision!

Spence has improved since the Brook fight which was very entertaining but showed that he can be hit. Bud/Spence could go either way. I'll be at the Khan fight hoping Crawford looks good.

                    Tables turn!

When Crawford was going up to WW and they asked him who he would like to face he mentioned Keith Thurman only. Stephen A. Smith had to drag Spence's name out of his mouth. And he said it half joking and quickly moved on.

Not too long ago Spence was practically begging any WW to fight him. Kell Brook was the only one that gave him an opportunity and he had to travel across the pond to do it.

If Mikey Garcia didn't call him out he would probably still be looking for a worthy opponent.

Crawford can chirp all he want to now. The first name out of his mouth when he moved up to WW should've been Errol Spence. Now that he's fighting Khan he want someone to listen to him saying he wants to fight Spence.

Btw, you don't negotiate a fight in a hallway in an arena in case someone wants to bring up the video.

                    Tables turn!

Spence said he doesn't want to risk it with Crawford, "will take the easier route". How much more direct can Errol be????? Spence is not remotely interested in fighting the best he thinks Thurman, Porter and Garcia are easier fights and he is correct in his thinking, they are less risky.

I'm not dumping on Spence, as a matter of fact I agree. Why should Errol consider fighting the best...when he can fight easy opponents and still be considered the best? It's right out of the Adonis Stevenson/PBC playbook.

Crawford has far too many wrinkles to his game, far too dangerous. There is absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose fighting Crawford.
