That hometown fight against J Rock is gonna be really tricky. J Rock is underrated a bit I do believe. People have overreacted to the Charlo KO loss imo. He was giving Jermall all he could handle before that stoppage. I think he is gonna give Hurd one hell of a fight and if Hurd doesn't stop him he could be in for a rude awakening! I'm super excited about this fight. Probably the best fight on the calendar right now!!

I think Charlo let j rock box which wasn’t in his best interest. When it became a fire fight it went Charlos way.

Hurd also let Harrison box which went Harrison’s way, but when it turns to a fire fight, j rock is feather fisted.

It is hard to hunt down J Rock and force the firefight but that is definitely in Hurd's skill set. I see him having huge advantages late but I wouldn't go so far as to call J Rock a feather fist. He isn't knocking out the elite guys but he still has decent pop. He's no Paulie Malignaggi in there. But I see where you are coming from. Once Hurd starts walking through J Rock in the later rounds it could be all over. I just have a funny feeling about this fight though. J Rock brings wrinkles and is good enough to take advantage of some of Hurd's flaws. I favor Hurd but I give J Rock a pretty decent chance to pull the upset here. It wouldn't be a shocker by any means in my eyes if J Rock pulls this thing off!

Agreed j rock is a live dog in this fight and I think he has a good chance of outboxing Hurd. But Hurd isn’t just gonna sit there to get beat to the punch

I'm not big on J Rock either Hurd should win easy, probably a TKO around Rd8. I think Hurds defense is leaky, he makes for it with heart and volume punching. He's heavy handed but not a big puncher more so a volume puncher that puts a lot of constant pressure on his opponents. Spence is a high volume, sharper puncherwith better boxing skills. I think Spence does everything better then Hurd and that will be the differnce in this fight if it happens. It may get bumpy or not but Spence beats Hurd. I think Spence would be a good fit at JM. So Ill take Spence over Hurd at 154,That would be fuego match up. Something tells me this will be a hottie if it gets made soon. No over marinating but not just yet. I can see Spence having a 2-3 more fights at 147.

I agree Spence is probably better skill wise but the size difference I think would be to much. A lot of guys go up one weight class and they’re not nearly as good. I just can’t see Spence stopping the onslaught from Hurd and Spence really isn’t a huge WW like he’s made out to be.

Hurd only 1'' 1-1/2'' taller then Spence. Spence good size WW. Stopped Brook no problem, good size WW in his back yard. Don't think Mikey even stunned him once. I just don’t see it happening. He couldn’t stop or even really hurt Garcia that bad. going up in weight and going from 8oz gloves to 10oz
