But even if you want to pretend that I'm some faker or full of ****, even then, whatever a fighter demands publicly is always more than they'll settle for privately.

Well he took the stand after getting swerved on the 15 million. Remember, the majority on this site shredded him to pieces for turning down 15 million over the date being a swerve. Well here we are, it's not even April yet, and the offer has gone from 15 in the UK to 40 in the US. So I'd say Wilder's stand has been a huge success so far. Let's see what he ultimately ends up with when all is said and done. The same people calling him a ducker at 40 were the same calling him a ducker at 12.5 and calling him a ducker when he'd only take 15 for a 2018 fight, but wouldn't take 15 if he had to wait until April.

If he ends up with 50 or more in the end, who will be laughing then?

well this is a bit of a unique situation. nobody could have predicted this situation. sure, we knew before the fury fight, that wilder's value would increase, which is why hearn was pressing him to sign a deal once the fury fight was signed. I don't think anyone saw the huge dazn offer coming though. it seems like wilder is on a roll and wants to let it ride...good for him, but I'd like to see the fight before one of them loses.

Yes yes, Deontay talks a bunch of crazy ****. It's part of promoting yourself.

In his defense, too much baby oil is an old trick some guys still manage to get away with.

You can second guess Deontay all you want. Nobody's perfect. He's an erratic emotional guy that just happens to be the most powerful puncher our species has possibly ever produced.
