When u watch him now its horrible to see thinkin back on how much faster and agile he use to be, he use to be a boxer/puncher...In his fight wit trinidad he was fast and quick and thats after bein kd'd twice in the first rd, in the ross thompson fight he was fast, campas, quartey, etc, his speed was never his best option but he was fast and much faster then he is now, now everything is slow and telegrafd, did trinidad take his speed away from that fight, or is it when he got steroided out and hit all them weights for oscar that he lost his speed???

I think it was when he used steroids and worked out crazy for DLH. I remember hearing Emanual Steward say before the fight that boxers don't come in looking as ripped as Vargas was. Then towards the end of the fight he pointed out that Vargas' arms were so heavy he could hardly keep his hands up. I think that the combination of bulk + the mental toll the DLH and Trinidad losses took on him made him get old fast.

i wonder why did he do that??? he didnt believe in himself, he didnt think he could beat oscar??? The Vargas that fought Trinidad would have done so much better against oscar then The steroided muscled out vargas, he should have just stayed that way...
