Yes, $75 for Spence/Garcia. Same for Pacman/Broner, Wilder/Fury and all recent Canelo PPVs minus the GGG rematch that was priced at $85.

I'm giving ESPN the benefit of doubt here after seeing what FOX was able to do for Spence/Garcia. If it does less than 200k, then essentially it would have done about half of Spence/Garcia.
I meant asking you $75 for Crawford vs Spence is a horrible price given the odds. I then said $44.99 would be better. I think anything above $49.99 is very risky. I lower price at $49.99 would get more probability for purchases, with the buys at least being competitive to Fox’s price. Truth is Mikey vs Spence had good promotion and undefeated fighters, so the suspense factor for a smaller guy moving up added more value.

Crawford fans are really going to pay $60+ knowing TC will most likely win? How many Khan PPV fans are there in the states? I’d be shocked if this event did better than Mikey vs Spence.

Those are the wrong angles to approach..

Have you ever posted headlines from promoters on this site, or controversial news from industry that we constantly talk about on this site?

If Bob Arum says that Haymon doesn’t exist, you can do as you please to create your own threads. If Bob Arum says DAZN is garbage, I’ll play my part to challenge his quotes just like posters challenging anything else from Wilder, AJ, Hearn, Oscar, etc.

You seem like a smart chap. What are your thoughts on Arum’s April 20th card for a supposedly $60 PPV tag versus DAZN’s $20 tag if one purchases it on April 20th too?

Sorry, I'm confused, are you saying $75 price tag for Spence/Crawford is horrible or that price tag is horrible for Spence/Garcia?

Here is the thing though, who won't pay $60 bucks for a fight but would pay $45-50 buck for a fight? And the amount of potential buyers you lose, do you not make up for it with making more revenue with the higher price point? Until I see some data backing up this line of thinking of pricing a PPV that low and generating more revenue, I won't take it serious. Now, to be fair, not like any of these promoters are pricing it that low but there is a reason they aren't. They don't believe lowering the price will amount to more revenue. UFC prices it around $60-65, but they also run a PPV every month.

I don't think anyone at this point is expecting this PPV to do better than Spence/Garcia. But it better do more than 200k buys at least. Or else we can officially put to rest all this talk of the ESPN "megaphone" helping out PPV sales and how much they contribute to a PPV. Arum at one point said this fight was going to do a million buys lmao. Him and Schaefer must have been smoking the same thing when they said that.

My bad dude. Lol. I read my first sentence from your reply looking at Crawford vs Spence..I’m wondering if I even spelled Khan in our convo.

            Let me try this again.

Here’s what I vaguely remember. I thought the price tag for Crawford vs Postol was $49.99. I’m trying to remember which fights we’ve seen either from HBO or ESPN that had a low cost unlike Canelo or Cotto PPVs Premium pricing.

I’m saying that if these $49.99 PPV prices have been around then I think it’s a smart idea to price it at that for Crawford vs Khan so that it could have a successful outcome so that we can come closer to Spence vs Crawford in the future. That basically what the Spence vs Crawford current wave is, the battle for A side.

So, Crawford vs Khan at $49.99 will have more buys given its odds than to price it high. 300k buys at $49.99 is way better than 170L buys at $75. Forget to total value profit, it’s about retaining higher amount of buyers than pricing up and being stingy.

We’ve gone into a different approach, however. My point is that Arum is a dumb ass to say DAZN is a failure when heading up against DAZN in April 20th. He is an egotistical bafoon as the DAZN numbers will be huge the following months. We’re not even into September yet or AJ’s June.

PPVs were $50 dollars back in the day and maybe Crawford/Postol was at that rate, but obviously it didn't do much for the buys.

Here is the thing, do you REALLY think you get 130k more buys if the price tag is $50 bucks compared to $75 bucks? I really doubt that. And how are you going to explain it to the fighter that he will have to take less of a purse because they want to price it so much cheaper? It would also be more valid if say a company ran PPVs every month like the UFC does. So if PBC for example ran a monthly PPV series, then it would definitely more sense pricing it at $50 or $60 bucks opposed to $75 bucks. Because at that point now you are selling the entire product, instead of an individual match up. UFC has built up core fans that will buy PPVs because it is the UFC and not always because of who is fighting. That isn't always true, especially involving someone like say McGregor, but they have a different model they are operating with.

Did Arum actually say DAZN is a failure? I saw him take shots at Hearn but never read that he actually said DAZN is a failure. In fact, he was saying GBP should be getting the US dates since they know the market. His attack seemed to target Hearn more so than DAZN itself.
