Briggs was entertaining but now it's just sad. He never won a real championship, Foreman was completely robbed and retired due to how bad the decision was.

Briggs won the lineal world heavyweight title.

Briggs also won the WBO world heavyweight title.

So by most definitions, he most certainly won a real world heavyweight championship.

I'm aware he technically won those, that was my point. He's a joke and neither of those are legit championships.

A. Foreman clearly won the fight and got robbed. Briggs did not deserve that title by any stretch of the imagination. Foreman retired because the decision was so bad. Briggs was promptly dismantled by Lennox Lewis who barely broke a sweat in doing so.

B. He won the other belt off of....Siarhei Liakhovich. Ever heard of him? Exactly, neither has anybody. Sultan Ibragimov then absolutely destroyed Briggs and once again Briggs lost in his first defense and it wasn't competitive at all.

Charles Martin was the "heavyweight champion of the world" at one point too. Will he be wandering around filming himself explain that to strangers so they can pretend to care for photos?

Had you ever heard of Siarhei Liakhovich before you googled that to make a post? I doubt anybody on this entire forum could've recalled that nobody's name. I don't count beating nobodies. The same way I don't think Charles Martin was a real champion of any sort, because he fought nobody, and was beaten by the first real opposition he faced.

This isn't a comedy forum, so I don't really care what you think a joke is.

I don't recognize the lineal or WBO titles, so to me, Briggs was never world heavyweight champion.

But the boxing world does recognize them, so he is a former world heavyweight champion whether I like it or not or whether you like it or not.

Easy to knock others when you're hiding behind a computer. What exactly have you accomplished in your life? Briggs, despite asthma, became a world heavyweight champion two times and made millions of dollars in the process. Who are you to label him a joke? Why don't we examine your life and see if maybe you are the joke?
