I picked Lipinets in this because Anthony is worn. Hard for me to say 35 is old, but in boxing, that's grey headed. 40 year olds are legendary. I hope Lips doesn't think this makes up for the Mikey beatdown.

He didn't get a beatdown against Mikey. He won rounds and landed a lot of good punches.

Every one plays down that fight because they didn't want to give Mikey any credit, just like they down play the Zlaticanin fight too! Lipinets is a tough out for anyone from 140-147! He's just a low-reward fighter! I hope we see him fight (next) a guy like WBC #6 Ugas, or WBC #7 Josesito Lopez, or WBA #3 Jamal James! FREE BOOTS ENNIS!

Lipinets is a very good fighter and underrated. Zlaticanin though is garbage. He was the ultimate paper champ.

Lipinets is a tough guy, he can take it. He can dish it out too, no complaints there. My issue is his lack of finesse, the monster act is restricted, a bigger or better schooled fighter can crack that code. He is too honest/basic in his approach. For instance, he has a nice high guard, but everybody knows where his head is, he moves his hands and his face is in danger. His hard head has saved him so far, except for Mikey.

No one was saying that when he beat Ricky Burns and Ivan Redkach back in 2014-2015. After Mikey beat him, he was "trash." Hindsight is 20/20!

Is he being serious?? Did he miss the whole retirement thing at the end??? Because people retire when they are young and have potential success ahead of them. Of course Peterson is old and he's clearly, literally done with boxing. I know English isnt Sergey's first language and all, so maybe he thought Lamont was just being extra nice and thanking his hometown fans for coming at the end. As if nobody bothered to translate to Sergey that Lamont just announced his retirement. Sergey better stop lieing to himself about the level of the opponents he defeats and not get a false sense of where he is at skill wise due to a victory like this. Clear case of someone wanting to get more credit than they deserve.

I'm still wondering how Lipnets ate those body punches and never lost power. That ain't no SNAC training.

Lipenets had to really grind and take vicious body shots to break Peterson down. Peterson threw 135 punches in one round. That doesn't sound like a shot fighter.
