Tyson was found guilty and went to prison. It might not have been a long sentence, but it pretty much derailed his career as he was never the same.

Also, some of the jurors on that case say that Tyson did not get a fair trial.

Tyson was found guilty based on hearsay. Tyson was many things but i do not believe he was guilty of that crime. Prison changes people (he was in solitary for a good 30% of his sentence). So people who use his verbage later on in life as proof need to take in how much prison ruins your psyche.
