As Loma fans, which excuse should we go with: weight, past his prime, ring age (I'm with this), shoulder, lack of interest in the cans he's fighting (I'm with this one, too)?

Critics: He isn't all that, the guy is overhyped, Arum protected. Special ones overcome weight disadvantage fighting cans like Crolla and Linares.

Loma is hailed by some, not me, as the best fighter in the world. Where should we set the standards? How low?
Lol life and death with pedraza, dude seriously, wake up.

There are no standards in boxing to rank a fighter. Its all "eye test",popularity and lastly who you fought.

Eye test is not a standard
      Popularity, is not a standard
Who you fought, may be, but you end up ranking a fighter with the above two "criterias"

Boxing is more than just the fighters, promoters and organizations also play a part in all this.

So on topic, loma is great on ghe eye test, a lot of us think alike. Is he the greatest or the best of this era, most probably not, we need to see him a couple of years more to indicate where he belongs

You are correct. I'm actually a fan but, looking ahead, I hate to see Loma not achieving greatness in the pro. If you pay close attention to Loma's body language, you can tell he isn't that motivated by the competition.

This trend of good fighters fighting cans needs to stop. That's all I'm saying.

Watch the fight again, if you ever did, this time without your Eastern Euro bias. Try it, it's healthier that way.

If he "struggles" then Crolla gets credit too. It's not fair to just discredit the chance of giving him credit. Crolla has a better resume than say, Gervonta Davis. Better wins, more depth and has stepped up when asked. Crolla isn't a good match though but Commey said he couldn't make the date, Garcia obviously is with PBC and moved up, so it's a good idea to keep the belt and take a quick mandatory and then onto Commey in July/August. Berchelt, the consensus #1 at 130 will be soon but he too was injured and had a fight scheduled. Maybe he'll be later in the year or Lopez.

The "struggle" with Pedraza is a huge stretch. He won 10 or 11 rounds, scored two knockdowns, made the dude miss around 90% of his shots and Loma didn't really start to open up most of his arsenal until late. That's an incredible standard to hold him too. Lineal champion Linares was objectively considered by most objective fans (see non agenda driven) as a streaking fighter on a good run and has good skills and size. Lomachenko dominated him for the most part and knocked him out despite factually having a major injury. To criticize him for opting to fight the lineal champ (who'd been ducked by Mikey Garcia) is insane too IMO.

You clearly don't know what the phrase " going life and death means". This is just another ****** concern trolling thread from a dumb**** Gervonta Davis fanboy.

Not sure you know, but Floyd struggled with Maidana. Hell, Devon Alexander did better against Maidana than Floyd.

Using your logic, Floyd should have been knocked down to below Devon Alexander levels, right?

LOL, no your not. You bash him every day, every time you talk about him and hold him to a far higher standard than any other fighter. You hate him because Tank's scared of him and you are holding the backlash against Loma. Everyone can see that.

Can't I critique a boxer I like? Loma is slick and that's my favorite style. I never put him down or call him names. I critique Gervonta as well. You and I have been at this for a few years now. You can't make me hate Loma.
