Chavez Jr can win a belt at 168 if he works hard.

How long ago was the 12th round vs Martinez. Because every aspect of this tubby pot heads career has been a joke since then. Seems like a long time.

I can understand him wanting to exorcise the demons of shame from his career - especially the Canelo fight - yes he was weight drained but we all know he has had issues committing to training and the fight with Canelo he ought to have at least tried.

If he's being brutally honest with himself and wants to go out as a respected fighter - he would have to perform above and beyond expectations. He would have to win every fight and even pick up a belt for people to allow him redemption.

The truth is he has the requisite skills - it has always been his childish attitude churned up with his meddling father who tries to manage his son over and above who he has around him.

I wonder what would be better: his father managing and training him - or a complete break from his father which he seemingly tried when he picked old school hardliner whose name escapes me.

The pos was paid 10M for the Canelo fight.
He continues to trick the world into thinking he'll do anything different that just arrive on fight night.
